Welcome To Will Valentine Art

I am Will Valentine, a 25 year old freelance Illustrator and Printmaker based in Bristol and Cardiff. My specialisms lie in natural ink making and screen-printing with a thematic emphasis on the materiality of place and the ways in which we may utilize our surroundings within an immersive creative practice. Between 2020 and 2023 I undertook my undergraduate

degree followed by my masters between 2023-2024 at Cardiff Metropolitan University. My Journey in freelance has been gradual and building through my studies and following on from this since. Starting in 2023 I was fortunate enough for my first stalling event to be at the wonderful Printed Festival Cardiff. Following this my focus lead me to an emphasis of working with heritage spaces, such as Insole Court and St Fagan's who I have a continual and growing relationship with. Towards the rear end of my masters, I stalled at Wilderness festival and the very special Between the Trees Festival where I met my wonderful girlfriend and have worked closely with the festival since as a stall-holder and workshop Liasson, working closely with them on the re-structing of a new space within the festival. Almost all my stall-holding since has been focused on the growth of a branch of my own business and a business in of itself Bark Ink Collective who myself and lifelong friend Adam Morgan run.

My journey in freelance is ever growing, stressful, fun and everything in between. I am far from establishing the business as a full time venture, however working daily to make this happen with growing confusion yet excitement at every step.
